Baig is a Mac guy but he do not believe in bashing Windows being a prerequisite for a Mac user. So, the article is a primer on switching to the Mac. He promises to come back next week with advice for folks who plan on sticking with Windows.

MacHeist II begins
Last December, Mac users around the world participated in what became to be known as the most explosive Mac indie software event in history – MacHeist. Tens of thousands of users participated in MacHeist missions, discovering clues, solving puzzles, and winning free software prizes. And when the fuse ran out, the best software deal in Mac history was unveiled.
Over the course of a week, over 16,000 customers snapped up the bundle. With 25% of each sale going to a charity of the customer’s choice, the event ended up raising $200,000 for important causes.

Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard
On the 26th of October, 2007 as soon as Apple releases Leopard, I went to an Apple retailer here in Mumbai, India only to be told that “The release is postponed. We got official emails!” “What?”, I asked and thought to myself “Apple and not on time, postponed and I wasn’t aware. Did I miss the news feeds while I drove just 15 minutes from home to their store.”
Anyway, it was just one of the stupid sales-girl unaware of enough facts about Apple despite being stationed at an Apple Products Retailer/Store. It was later confirmed that Leopard is nowhere releasing anytime soon in India.

Starting with the Apple Mac
I have recently been trying to shift to the Mac and I am sure I am already a Mac Convert. Instead of lambasting with articles about Mac, the chronicles of shifting, the software changes, et al, on my primary site, I have decided to write my experiences on a separate site dedicated to the Apple Mac and other Apple Products.
The feeling is bright, shiny, aqua and new at the moment.
