Apple is currently teasing a “Black Friday” sale for this Friday on Apple.com and Apple Stores across the globe. If history is any indiction of the discounts, don’t get too excited as you are only looking at about an $100 mark down on Mac’s, but, who knows… Apple may surprise us all.
Saw this via The Unofficial Apple Weblog — a simple, useful add-on for your Address Book, Avatars, is a freeware that searches for, displays, and adds your contacts’ avatars to their cards. It installs with a package installer as a SIMBL plugin.
So, liven up your Address book with Gravatars and Pavatars with a little help from Avatars.
Letterbox is a plugin for Apple’s Mail that takes advantage of your widescreen monitor. It rearranges the interface into three vertical columns, so the message pane is to the right of the message list, rather than below. Especially on widescreen Macs, this layout makes better use of your available screen real estate, and gives emails a more pleasing paper-like shape. You?ll probably need at least 1280 and perhaps 1440 horizontal pixels for this layout to work well for you.
