Quicksilver: Universal Access and Action
Recently, Google launched the Google Mac Developer Playground, where Google Engineers can showcase their Mac-related projects. We all know of the Google Engineers 20% time where they are allowed to work on projects of interest to them. Many spend their time working on open-source Mac projects and this new site is a place where these projects can be shared with one and all.
It may be recalled that Google once focused predominantly on the Windows platform; they however seems to be paying more attention to the Mac lately. They’ve also very recently, unveiled a customized search interface for the Apple iPhone. We already have the Google Desktop for Mac OS X, which allows us to run Google Gadgets as Mac Dashboard widgets.
Currently, the Mac Developer Playground is stacking up Tools and Applications – Statz, GData, MacFuse, Disk for iPhone, CoverStory, etc.
